I’ve had these Wide Leg Diva Jeans from Old Navy on my radar for a while now. I wrote about them a few months back.
The good news is, I just heard from a reader that they are the most comfortable jeans she has had. (Thanks Heather!)
The bad news is, they never seem to be available in my size. But because I am hearing good things about them, I’m going to keep checking back.
One thing to keep in mind with Old Navy when ordering, don’t get mixed up with their long vs. tall sizes. Long means 34″, and tall means 36″. There are three tabs above the selection area: regular, tall, & petite. The 34″ long jeans fall under the regular tab (along with short and regular lengths), but the 36″ inseams are under the tall tab.
They have some other jeans offered in 36″, but it looks like they have a hard time keeping their sizes stocked. Maybe if enough of us tall gals email them they will get on the ball? Here is their email address if anyone wants to give it a shot: custserv@oldnavy.com

Well, the verdict is in. I received the 36″ long American Eagle Boyfriends Jeans that I got at a smoking $24.95 (now back up to $29.50).
Here is the summary:
Pros: The length of course, and the price for the length. Talk about rare! They come in long (34.5-35″) and X-Long (36″). I also like color of this “dark vintage” rinse. They are a little fitted through the thighs, but are not toooo tight for my athletic thighs like a lot of modern styles are. My thighs often feel like stuffed sausages when trying on the new cutesie jeans. But these are doable.
Cons: I like a bit of a low rise, but not the super low rise. No thanks on the drafty crack. While these aren’t dangerously low by today’s standards, they are just a bit low for my comfort zone. Also, they seem true to size through the hips & thighs, but gape at the waist. This is something I always struggle with. Maybe I’m built weird? If anyone shares this problem and knows of any great jeans that don’t gape, please tell me!
Verdict: While they are not perfect, I think these are well worth the $25-$30 price tag and are worth throwing on a belt to rectify a little gaping! I just may try American Eagle jeans again.

I wrote about American Eagle jeans a while ago. I was blown away because they were 36″ long and very inexpensive. Well, they’re even cheaper now. I just ordered this pair for $24.95. This is my first pair of AE jeans, so I’m not quite sure what to expect. I’ll report back when I get them.
They have some other clearance jeans that will automatically take another 30% off when you put them in your cart. Shipping is free on orders over $100, and you can use this code to save an additional 15%: 56178395

I have said before how much I love jeans from the Buckle. Ok, I’ve said it a couple times. But it is true.
Check out the jeans on clearance there. This pair is just $39.97, normally $76. Inseams on this style come in 35″, but the Buckle also offers jeans with 37″ inseams for those beautiful long legs.
Don’t forget to use the links on the left of their jeans page to search for your preference in fit, rise, and several other options in addition to inseam.

I was excited to hear that Old Navy had a lot of jeans on sale for $15 on Cyber Monday, including their 36″ inseam jeans. I was disappointed to see that most of their 36″ long jeans on sale were only available in size 0 or 2. I am no size 0 or 2. Well, my arms would fit into them. But the legs? That is a different story.
I was excited to see these Diva Wide Leg Jeans available in all sizes. They aren’t $15 but still, $34.50 is not bad for 36″ jeans!

For those in Australia, or anyone who will shop internationally, check this out. A reader emailed me that an Australian-based company named Tall Girls specializes in pants with 36″ inseams on up. The jeans shown here are 38″ in long! Just be sure to check the currency and size conversion before ordering. They recommend taking measurements to be sure of your size.
This company is a bit pricey (at least for my bargain-shopping blood). But if you have a 38-39″ inseam your options are limited. Better to splurge and get a couple pairs of pants you feel good in, than to get a bunch that are too short and always feel self-conscious, right?
And just FYI, for those of you with tall husbands or boyfriends they also have mens pants with 38-40″ inseams.
