For those in Australia, or anyone who will shop internationally, check this out. A reader emailed me that an Australian-based company named Tall Girls specializes in pants with 36″ inseams on up. The jeans shown here are 38″ in long! Just be sure to check the currency and size conversion before ordering. They recommend taking measurements to be sure of your size.
This company is a bit pricey (at least for my bargain-shopping blood). But if you have a 38-39″ inseam your options are limited. Better to splurge and get a couple pairs of pants you feel good in, than to get a bunch that are too short and always feel self-conscious, right?
And just FYI, for those of you with tall husbands or boyfriends they also have mens pants with 38-40″ inseams.

A reader emailed me about another store with inseams up to 37″. Vanity has 200 stores in 25 states with long inseams, as well as an online store. (Thanks Kelsey!)
Right now they have a bunch of long jeans on sale, starting as low as 7.99!

Needless to say I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus for the arrival of baby #3. A few weeks turned into a few months, and well, you moms know how it goes with a new baby. These Wide Leg Maternity Jeans arrived in time for me to wear them the last couple weeks of my pregnancy. I was kicking myself for not getting them sooner. They were by far the most comfortable pants I’ve had in three pregnancies. And that’s not just because I’m biased (they’re one of our designs). I really loved them. It almost makes me want to get pregnant again, just so I can wear them. I said ALMOST.

Ok, I know I have mentioned how much I love the Buckle before. But this is worth writing about a couple times a year, for anyone who hasn’t shopped there yet. Their website is fantastic. After clicking on ‘Jeans’ a bunch of options pop up on the left, to narrow your search: Brand, Waist, Inseam (HELLO! Dream come true.), Size, Finish, Color, Rise, Fit, Fabric, & Price. My new favorite search? I mean beyond the obvious inseam search of course. It is the ‘Fit’ search. It’s true, I’m a bit thicker in the thighs. And I’m so tired of finding the perfect jeans online. Only to order them and realize the only reason they looked perfect is that they were worn by a model with thighs the size of my arms.
If you live anywhere near a Buckle, I highly suggest stopping in. Even if you don’t buy anything there, go try on some jeans to get your size, fit, ideal rise, etc. They’ll even give you a little card with your favorite fit & styles. Then when you check back for sales on the website, you’ll increase your chances of finding something with a great fit.
They really ought to be paying me for this.

I have felt really lucky when I’ve found 36-37″ inseam jeans. But even those aren’t long enough for some of you. So check out these “Wide Waist Indigo Stretch Jeans” with a 39″ inseam. I love the wide waistband, and the low waist. Low enough to be stylish, while still keeping that crack covered. They’re not super cheap by my bargain-hunting standards, but not as pricey as the designer brands either. They’re also having a summer special right now, where some of their stuff is an extra 10-20% off.

Something fishy happened last week, and I was cut off mid-post. So let’s try this again. Ann Taylor Loft has many pants and jeans with inseams up to 35″. The upside? They have a decent selection, and many are reasonably priced. The downside? Their alternate views don’t include pictures of the back. It’s tough to buy pants without seeing what the butt looks like. But because they are reasonably priced, it may be worth paying shipping to find out. They also have tall sized jackets.

I so want to be a $30-50 jeans girl. But with a 36″ inseam, it’s usually not going to happen. I’m not willing to pay $150-200 for ‘designer’ jeans. But The Buckle offers a happy medium. You can find a decent pair for $60-80, and inseams go up to 37″. Their website is fantastic. You can shop by inseam, waist, rise, fit, & more. This saves time, and narrows your options quickly, especially if you know what you’re looking for. It keeps me from getting excited to find a 36″ long pair of jeans, only to find that they have a super lowrise that accentuates my spackle crack. My thrifty side has finally caved, and decided it’s better to have a couple $75 pairs of jeans that fit great, than to have 5-6 cheap pairs that don’t.

I heard about Alloy a while back, and have been meaning to try them out. Some of their pants and jeans come in a 35″ and 37″ inseam. They are cute, but have a junior cut. That translates into “hello crack” for some of us. But some styles appear to have a moderate rise, so maybe I’ll give them a shot. Hey, you can’t beat the price!

These are not advertisements, just stores I've found online that cater to the vertically blessed!
Tall girls often have a larger foot size that local shops don't cater to. Here's a list of places you can find wider, larger shoe sizes.
