Good news and bad news

I’ve had these Wide Leg Diva Jeans from Old Navy on my radar for a while now. I wrote about them a few months back.

The good news is, I just heard from a reader that they are the most comfortable jeans she has had. (Thanks Heather!)

The bad news is, they never seem to be available in my size. But because I am hearing good things about them, I’m going to keep checking back.

One thing to keep in mind with Old Navy when ordering, don’t get mixed up with their long vs. tall sizes. Long means 34″, and tall means 36″. There are three tabs above the selection area: regular, tall, & petite. The 34″ long jeans fall under the regular tab (along with short and regular lengths), but the 36″ inseams are under the tall tab.

They have some other jeans offered in 36″, but it looks like they have a hard time keeping their sizes stocked. Maybe if enough of us tall gals email them they will get on the ball? Here is their email address if anyone wants to give it a shot: custserv@oldnavy.com

J. Crew has 36″ inseams!

I have to send a big thank you out to reader Corrinne of Search by Inseam who told me that J. Crew now has 36″ inseams! I have been frustrated in the past, because their size chart doesn’t show inseam lengths. It just says that their tall sizes are recommended for women 5′9″ - 6′0″. That seemed too vague for me. I assumed that meant 33-34″ inseams, so I have been hesitant to order.

But I played around a bit and found that when looking at individual product pages, the inseam is in the description on the right. You often have to click “More” to get the whole description, and the inseam should be at the bottom. I love finding new options for extra long inseams!

While tall sized jeans are becoming a bit easier to find, it seems that true tall-sized dresses are still few and far between.
